Kurozo Wetland
The Kurozo Wetland is located in a depression in the mountains between the Yoshino and Iya rivers at an elevation of 550 m. It’s home to various wild flowers including water lilies and a white plant that resembles a white heron in flight.
The marsh is accessed by wooden boardwalks which take you over the soft, flooded ground. An observation tower provides an overview of the entire area, including the surrounding mountains. There’s also a bird-watching hide and some wooded trails.
Facilities include a large free carpark, toilets, and picnic tables.
