Qraud
Qraud is the short name for the Tosa Washi Craft Village, a multipurpose facility near the beautiful Niyodo River. In the expansive main building, it has a workshop where you can try making washi paper, a traditional product of this part of Kochi. You can then dye the paper that you make and use it to cover a fan or make it into writing paper.
Behind this building are several traditional wooden buildings. One of these is filled with hand looms for artisanal weaving. You can make yourself exquisitely coloured and textured table decorations or a scarf while looking out over the river.
Qraud has accommodation, a French-Japanese fusion restaurant, and an onsen spa.
You can also hire gear and guides for cycling, canoeing, rafting and SUP.
