Warei Shrine
Warei Shrine is one of Shikoku’s Grand Shrines, and it has a massive, 12 m stone torii said to be the largest in Japan. The shrine is sacred to fishermen. The Warei Grand Festival held on July 23 and 24 features the remarkable Ushioni ‘bull devils’, and various torchlit madness in the river in front of the shrine.
